Lake Travis is approximately 20 to 30 miles west of downtown Austin, Texas, depending on your specific location in Austin and the route you take to reach the lake. The driving distance may vary slightly based on your starting point within the city. It typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes to drive from central Austin to Lake Travis.

We recommend that large groups organize transportation together. The police do take notice of marina traffic.

Yes, Lake Travis is safe to swim in but ultimately the decision is yours. Most of our clients make decisions on weather or not to swim based off three factors. They are  Lake travis lake level, recent rain in the surrounding area and the LCRA water quality report. Boat traffic can also be a concern, our captains will always take you to the safest possible place to anchor to swim however we cannot control other boat operators.
