Lone Star Boats was awesome! Went out with a group of guys on a wake surf boat with Jacob as our captain. He’s a great guide and teacher. He did an exceptional job teaching the guys who had never surfed before so that everyone got up and was cruising by the end. He also accommodated our changing plans and made sure we had a great time. We will definitely go out on one of Jacob’s boats again if we get the chance. Highly recommend.

Lone Star Boat rentals came in clutch when our original rental cancelled on us. They came to us vs is having to drive 45 min. We had a great time, our captain Hayman was AWESOME! He knew exactly where to take us and showed us a good time! Definitely will use again next time we’re in Austin!

We have gone with Lone Start Boat rentals three times and each time has been great! The communication before and after booking is consistent and quick. We tried other companies and always had issues with communication, the captain, the boat etc, but never with Lone Star. The captain even gave us some pointers with wake surfing since most of us were beginners. My parents (who do not wake surf) still has such a great time on the boat and were able to do some light tubing. Will go with them again next time we take a trip to the lake.

Lone star has been my go to for pontoon boat and wakeboat rentals on lake travis. I don't have friends with a wakeboat so I have learned to wakesurf through lonestar. I have also gone with groups on their large pontoon boats. For me, I have enjoyed the ease of booking and having a great time on the lake. The two boats named "texas flag" and "american flag" are a great time.

I can’t say enough great things about Lone Star Boats. I took the family out twice now and both times we had a blast. We rented a wakeboard boat the first time and Captain Jacob had my oldest wake surfing his first try. We rented a pontoon boat the last time for a birthday party. Everyone had fun and the party was a hit. We will definitely be renting more boats this year and moving forward. I have owned boats in the past and I appreciate just showing up and going out on the water and not dealing with all the stuff that comes from ownership. Boats were clean and comfortable. We owe a fun, long weekend all to Jacob!!! Would highly recommend Jacob or one of his drivers take you out in one of their Malibu’s. We choose the 23 LSV and wake surfed. Jacob was patient even with first time riders we had in our group, coaching them through the whole process. **THE BEST** surf lesson and experience! Captain Jacob was SO patient with us and helped us laugh off the nerves, gave clear, consistent instructions and everyone was able to get up and surf! Took us to a less busy stretch of lake and made sure to coordinate times when it was easiest for the less experienced surfers (me) to get up successfully. We had the most gorgeous sunset, Captains Phil & Jaimes also helped out with pointers, got some videos for us and were so encouraging! Great tunes, AMAZING boat and boards, everyone had such a great time! Boat & surf with LONE STAR! You won’t regret it!

Lone Star Boat Rentals is the best wake surfing booze cruise experience in Austin! Captain Jacob has exceptional boats and is a wonderful surf instructor. 4 out of 6 in our group had never surfed before and all of them were up and dropping the rope by then end of our day! I was even able to learn a 360 after trying for years. Laid back vibes, his great playlist, and beautiful weather made for the best boating experience. I have used this boat rental company for years from small private events to large parties. It is easy to make a reservation. Each time the captain of the boat has been super friendly, they ensure that are needs are met for the event, and they always make sure we are safe and explain to us how to be safe as well. Very professional staff. Communication is easy. Prices are very reasonable. I would continue to use this company; I recommend booking early for summer events as they fill up fast!

The last time I visited Austin I booked a boat rental on lake Austin. It was beautiful the captain brought us to a great spot, everyone had a blast. The last time I visited Austin I booked a boat rental on lake Austin. It was beautiful the captain brought us to a great spot, everyone had a blast.

This last trip on Lake Travis was way different, the lake is way bigger with tons of different sights to see… We went wake surfing in the morning near hippy hollow then tied up with some friends in devils cove during the afternoon.

Jacob was a true captain and coach. He was punctual, courteous, and patient as he taught me, my wife, and 8 year old daughter how to wakesurf in one session, and still had time to pull us on the tube, and skiing. We had a great experience with Chris as our captain the weekend of Labor Day! We had 6 young kids and 4 adults and his laid back style and great music allowed everyone to have the best experience! He was very knowledgeable about the lake and safety items for the kids and was very cool and patient with the kids while they took turns tubing. Chris made good recommendations for restaurants on the lake and timed it out so we had enough time to stop and swim and take a nice cruise around the lake. The next time we rent a boat we will be sure to request Chris as our captain!

We’re built different and he fit right in with the boys if you’re ever in the area take a boat out for the day it is well worth it. Wow!! What a fun, memorable experience! My husband and I are new to the wake surfing scene so we decided to rent a boat w an experienced captain to help teach us. Jordan was our captain. The boat was perfect, the wake was smooth, and Jordan had the patience of a saint. Haha! He gave us some great pointers and didn't seem annoyed at all even though we came on board as super green peas. The boat was clean,, in great condition, and had 3 extra boards for us to try. After calling several other companies, Lone Star was the only one that would take us to where we wanted to dock on Lake Travis. An alternative solution was found for getting onto the lake, due to the current COVID restrictions for commercial operations ( something you need to check). The pontoon boat was great, fitting all 17 of us with ease. We had a new lily pad to float on and other new inflatables to use. Our captain John was great. LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 friendly company.

Our family had a great time on this boat renting for the entire day on beautiful Lake Travis. Blake was our captain and he was knowledgeable of the lake and all the good water hole places to swim. All-around awesome service and experience! We did a full day trip for my bachelorette weekend and it was so much fun. Our captain Jordan was super great and made the day that much more fun. He knew what he was doing and made sure we were all having a good time. The lake was beautiful, the boat was spacious and comfy, and the water sports were great. We loved the stereo system, the lily pad, and jumping off the boat! So much fun. There wasn't one snag in the entire experience. I had never done anything like this at all and it was all totally seamless!

Our captain Andrew was super friendly and both him and Beau were easy to get ahold of before the trip. It was so cool being on the biggest boat in Devils Cove! I highly recommend Lone Star Party Boats to anyone looking to spend a day on Lake Travis!

Beau was awesome getting us booked and ready for the trip - he actually had a wedding to attend day of but still met us at the marina and had us set up up with another captain for the day who was good to us as well. Don't be scared off by the cost - while it's still in line with the other party boat rentals it dwarfs the other boats in the water and is worth every minute of it.

Hired him to take my friends and I out for my bachelor party; by the end of the day everyone had learned to wakeboard on an a clean and very impressive boat. Jake took care of us, showed us the party spots but we also cruised up and down the whole lake, well worth the experience and patience he had teaching most of us how to get going on the wakeboard.

Lone Star Wake Rentals and the owner Jacob Cope are awesome! I had some friends in from out of town and I wanted to make sure they had a good time but also try something new. Not only did Jacob give us a great price but he also had all the equipment needed to get out on the lake. We got to surf and wake board. It was the first time for all of us so naturally we were not too good at it. Jacob took the time to show us the ropes, gave us some great tips and before we knew it everyone was able to board. Not to mention the boat itself is amazing. Great sound system and with everyone waving at you, it made you feel like a million bucks. The boat and Equipment were very nice and so were the folks renting to us. Loved that we didn't have to stress over who couldn't drink and learning to drive a boat. Excellent service and experience! Jacob made sure that everyone was well situated and had the best time on the lake. I was able to learn how to wakeboard and wakesurf during that time as well. Jacob was a great instructor and very patient. The boat is fully equipped with everything you need to learn. He will even teach you how to drive the boat if the lake isn't too crowded. Jacob was very big on safety and made sure that everyone got off of the boat in the same way that they got on the boat. Money well spent! Definitely rent from these guys. I will rent again.

This past Saturday has to be one of the best days I've had in the ten years I've lived in Austin. Jacob is a considerate and kind Captain that showed our party of 10 a great time out on Lake Austin.
